Meconium histocytosis of the fetal membranes, usually as part of placenta processing.
Gross processing
Grossly, the amniotic side of the fetal membranes and placental disk is inspected for any greenish discoloration, which indicates the presence of mecinoum.[1]
Microscopy
At least if the presence of meconium is suspected from clinical history and/or the gross exam, look for the following histopathologic signs of it:[2]

The pigment-laden macrophages are presumably meconium-laden "meconiophages", the pathologic diagnosis can be termed "meconium histocytosis" -
Edema -
At the amniotic surface.
