Evaluation
Typical microscopic findings in seborrheic keratosis:
- A localized epidermal proliferation of basaloid and squamoid cells.[1]
- Most commonly a dome-shaped exophytic epidermal growth, containing multiple cornified cysts.[1]
- The proliferating cells are generally round and basaloid.[1]
- Melanin pigment deposition can occur.[1]
- Clinically, the patient is generally elderly.
